We last saw Ohio-based Walk the Moon at First Avenue last year. The dance-rock group is back at the University of Minnesota Homecoming show, featuring rapper Iggy Azalea.
The latest song, “Shut Up And Dance” was the #1 song on Spotify charts… and it’s a good indication of what’s to come when they release their sophomore album on RCA Records later this year.

Wray is a trio (David Brown, Blake Wimberly, and David Swatzell) and they recently premiered “Blood Moon”, taken from their self-titled EP.
Band member David Brown clarifies, “Blood Moon starts as a suggestion, moves toward a sense of wonder, and succumbs to realism.” Of the song itself, Brown elaborates, “The weighted guitars, rowing drums, and sheen vocals create a feeling of inevitability. The lyrical content of the song plays with this concept. Some things end just when they begin.”
Wray perform at the Lit Lounge as part of Communicating Vessel’s CMJ Showcase on October 22.
