INDIGO GIRLS w/ Michelle Malone

at Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater

Friday, 07/17/2015, 7pm ($54)

suemclean.com

Indigo Girls is back with their latest One Lost Day (IG Recordings/Vanguard Records). We previously caught Amy Ray solo at the Turf Club in 2012 and at the Fine Line Music Café in 2008, but it is very good to have her back with Emily Sailers as the duo Indigo Girls.

Opening at Weesner Ampitheatre (at the Minnesota Zoo) on Friday, July 17th, will be Michelle Malone, in support of her new album Stronger Than Your Think (which comes out July 14th).

Malone’s latest single, “When I Grow Up”, taken from the new album, was co-written with Kristian Bush of Sugarland whom Michelle spent the last year touring with the band.

If you were wondering about the Indigo Girls connection, Amy Ray co-wrote and appeared on Malone’s song “I Don’t Wanna Know”. If I was a betting man, I would put some money on Malone’s set will feature Ray coming on to play on that song! We’ll find out July 17th!
