first-avenue.com

New York’s Jeff Rosenstock is headlining the 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis next Monday, November 7th.

Show up early to check out San Francisco’s Hard Girls. We previous caught the trio with the Smiths Street Band in April 2016 and wrote, “All of the other bands sounded amazing last night. Both Hard Girls and Signals Midwest have earned a spot on my daily playlist due to absolutely killing it last night. The former band previously opened up for Say Anything in July 2015 and we described their songs as ‘punk songs, many of these tracks were short bursts of energy.’”

Hard Girls is working on a forthcoming third LP, slated for 2017.

triplerocksocialclub.com

The SiriusXM Presents Alt Nation’s Advanced Placement Tour will be making a stop at the Triple Rock Social Club this Monday, November 7th. We previously caught another SiriusXM show earlier in February 2016 and can tell you that the bands are quite diverse… but all are eager to play for SirusXM’s audience.

The new Alt Nation tour will feature headliners The Hunna. The London band previously headlined the 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis last June 2016.

The Shelters is also another artist featured. We previously caught the band in April 2016 and wrote, “The Shelters absolutely blew me away last night. This four piece from Los Angeles not only had the most stylish hair out of all of the bands, but they also seemed to have the most to gain from this tour.”

Also, Night Riots is also on the bill. We previously wrote about the band in 2015 and noted, “Howl is the new EP from California’s Night Riots. The EP landed January 20th via Sumerian Records. Howl was written while the band was touring in promotion of their 2013 EP release, Young Lore.”

THE VEILS
at The Roxy (CA)
Monday, 11/07/16, 7:30pm ($16)

theroxy.com

We’re big fans of The Veils here at W♥M, so the show at the Roxy in L.A. on November 7th should be nothing short of spectacular.

We covered them in 2013 when they played the Troubadour and again at the Great Escape Festival in Brighton, England. After they hit L.A. they go to Seattle, SF and Canada before heading to Europe. Their latest album Total Depravity is by far their most industrial and experimental album yet, so we’re excited to see how this will change the live performance of Fin and his band.

Anthonie Tonnon to open.

Tour dates:

11/07/16 West Hollywood, CA Roxy Theatre

11/09/16 San Francisco, CA Chapel
