Daði Freyr
with Blusher
at Fine Line

first-avenue.com

The Icelandic-born, Berlin-based musician Daði Freyr will be headlining the Fine Line, in Minneapolis, on March 17, 2024. Freyr’s career took off in 2020 with the viral hit song “Think About Things.”

Melbourne-based pop-trio Blusher to open. Their new new single “Rave Angel” is out now on Atlantic Records/Warner Music Australia. The trio adds details about the song, “While we were on a writing trip in LA, there was a night we went out so determined to have a big dance, but everywhere we went the DJs were terrible. Miranda’s hype-up playlist in the Uber outmatched them all. A few clubs and an In-N-Out pitstop later, we managed to sneak into a secret Charli XCX and AG Cook DJ set and the night completely turned around. The next day, we were inspired to write about the fact that it all could have ended at the In-N-Out burger, if we hadn’t convinced each other to push on. Rave Angel, a phrase we coined while describing how Charli looked behind the decks that night, is the song you play to your friend in the Uber that convinces them to stay out and see what unfolds.”

Iconic music mavericks KMFDM is back on tour in support of their new album Let Go via Metropolis Records. Let Go marks the group’s 23rd studio album, with the core lineup of Sascha “Käpt’n K” Konietzko, Lucia Cifarelli, Andy Selway and Andee Blacksugar.

We saw KMFDM in 15 Aug 2015, and wrote, “I think KMFDM is on the right track, as far as their business model goes. It’s the old model, but it works: tour the world with live shows, meeting their fans in person, keeping personal contacts with their fans, and selling a billion shirts. It works, I’ve seen it with KMFDM and other bands.”
