When I first discovered the Warehouse District Live, in downtown Minneapolis, between Fifth Street and Sixth Street, in July 2024, I was surprised and excited for the possibility and said that “a great idea to keep the downtown area alive and fun and an inviting place to visit.”
Since Rocktober kicked off in October, I’ve been down in the area almost every day, but I rarely stop in to check the event. Why? There’s literally no advertisement or information on their website. It would be really helpful if they were active online and posted information on the day’s event. I’m not asking for the world, just tell me who is playing or the type of food trucks we’re going to get.
Case in point on October 12, 2024, I had to ask a someone working who was playing that night. He told me Catherine Johnson. When we returned to the area around 10pm, someone told me it was Ezekiel (or was it EZ-Keo?) on stage. There was no signage and absolutely no information on their website or social.
I think if Warehouse District Live wants to encourage more attendance, they just need to be more active online, or perhaps just email me the information (they never even responded to my questions).
If I was running their social media, for the week of October 18, I can post, “Join us on October 18 for Warehouse District Live Karaoke Contest – the Final Round! Crash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.” Guys, it’s that easy.
Warehouse District Live happens every Friday and Saturday, in downtown Minneapolis. It looks like the event will end on October 26, 2024. Unfortunately, I will be in St Paul on that date.
