Automotion at Arci Bellezza, Milan (17 Jan 2025)

Manchester’s finest, Automotion recently sold out the Arci Bellezza, in Milan, Italy. The report comes from our Italian music partner, Kalporz, via Raffaele Concollato and Cecilia Gatto.

The big buzz about Automotion is that their singer is Lennon Gallagher… yes, Liam Gallagher’s son. The band only have a handful of EPs, and according to the report is that their show was less than an hour. It’s made much shorter, because I do not believe there was even an opening band (it might be embarrassing if the opener played longer than the headliner… so it’s probably for the best).

According to NME the band features Jesse Hitchman (vocals/guitar), Lennon Gallagher (vocals/guitar), Otis Eatwell-Hurst (drummer) and Luke Chin-Joseph (bassist). Their debut EP In Motion came out June 4, 2021.

What’s funny is that Lennon made news in 2017, when he wore a Blur T-Shirt.

Raffaele Concollato writes, “The set lasts a little less than an hour… ending with the unreleased “Jungle,” leaving a mark more and give the idea of what has been seen and heard well: the band is in the growing phase, that is probably just a short step away from a leap that they are not yet ready to make.”

 

Anyway, I’m pretty excited to see another Gallagher doing music, considering that it’s unlikely that we will see Oasis on their trillion dollar reunion tour. That’s completely fine, I’ve seen Oasis at least twice and Liam Gallagher at least twice (in Beady Eye and solo)… so I’m good.

Still, I’m very interested in checking out Automotion, should they eventually tour the USA.
