Deep Sea Diver
with Byland
at Turf Club

first-avenue.com

Deep Sea Diver is returning to the Twin Cities, stopping by the Turf Club, in St Paul, on April 24, 2025.

We saw Deep Sea Diver in March 2016 and wrote, “Seattle-based Deep Sea Diver opened up the show. The indiepop band were touring in support of their sophomore album Secrets (High Beam). Although the album was only released last month (Feb 19th), there were fans who knew and were singing along to the newer songs. In fact, you get the feeling that the band had a close relationship with their fans, knowing/remembering their names, etc. For example, “NWO” was dedicated to “Dave” in the audience.”

Atmospheric indie-rock artist Byland to open. He recently collaborated with The Bones of J.R. Jones (Jonathon Linaberry), for the new single, “Jubilee.”

Yukimi (of Little Dragon)
at Fine Line

first-avenue.com

Yukimi (of Little Dragon) is on a solo tour, in support of her debut album For You (due March 28 via Ninja Tune)… stopping by the Fine Line, in Minneapolis, on April 25, 2025.

We saw Little Dragon in May 2015, and wrote, “Ten minutes before Little Dragon taking the stage, two full songs were played before their arrival. Slowly the band entered the stage, one by one, with singer Yukimi Nagano coming on last – wearing an over-the-top furry dress and ballet outfit. After the initial shock, the fans quickly forgot the fancy dress and just danced away to all the songs. I’m happy to report that Little Dragon is all grown up. Since we last saw the Swedish band in November 2009 (six years ago), the band has grown in terms of sound, stage, and fanbase.”

Ty Segall
with Mikal Cronin
at Parkway Theater

first-avenue.com

Ty Segall is back in Minneapolis, doing a solo acoustic tour. He will stop by the Parkway Theater, in Minneapolis, on April 25, 2025.

We saw Ty Segall in Mar 2016, and wrote, “Before we talk about Ty’s exceptional musical output, we have talk about his all-star supergroup The Muggers. As we previously mentioned, his band consisted of King Tuff’s Kyle Thomas (dressed in an orange jumpsuit), singer/guitarist Mikal Cronin, Cairo Gang’s Emmett Kelly, and Wand’s Cory Hanson and Evan Burrows. With only a few dates on this current tour, the band sounded incredibly tight and well-rehearsed (even when they were improvising on stage).”

Mikal Cronin (solo) will open.

Them Coulee Boys
with Janakey
at Turf Club

first-avenue.com

Them Coulee Boys is back on tour, in support of No Fun In The Chrysalis (Some Fun Records).

We saw Them Coulee Boys in Dec 2023, and wrote, “It was their third time on the First Avenue stage and Beau Janke set aside his electric banjo to say being on there was not lost on him. “We’ve been down there hoping to be up here.” They made the most of it with an electrified, rollicking good time with Janke joined by Soren Staff on guitar, Jens Staff on mandolin, Neil Krause on bass and Staš Hable on drums. Their music is infused by Americana but most definitely amped up and electrified, especially during the crowd favorite “10ft. Tall.””
