We♥KC! June 1-7, 2026, Upcoming concerts / shows (Kansas City, MO / Lawrence, KS metro)
The ‘summer concert season’ is officially upon us!
We’re past the grilling and chilling of Memorial Day and into June, so it should be a fairly full slate of shows through October. We already told you about Morton Amphitheater opening for a local sneak peek on the 1st, and the first national show, is a re-invigorated Ke$ha on June 3 (arrive early for openers Chromeo and Sizzy Rocket.)
We’re not sure how it all works yet, but you can prepay for parking for $20 (and up), and if watching from the grass, can rent a lawn chair for $9.25 or a blanket for $20. Regardless of all the extras, we’re eager to check out the new venue soon.
Let’s look at the first week of the month with the Kansas City / Lawrence KS metro musical happenings from June 1st to June 7th.

MONDAY JUNE 1
Black Angels, June 1, Warehouse on Broadway, $34.50
2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the band’s debut album, Passover, a now-modern classic record that helped define the recent psych-rock revival. To celebrate, The Black Angels– Alex Maas (vocals/bass), Christian Bland (guitar), Stephanie Bailey (drums), Jake Garcia (guitar), and Misti Hamrick (bass) are returning to the road to perform the album in full, along with other hits.
Following albums like 2017’s Death Song and 2022’s Wilderness of Mirrors (both on Partisan Records), the band continues to evolve while remaining themselves: a band that channels the spirit of classic psychedelia into a dark, modern, and deeply powerful form.
We last caught them live in 2023 at the Uptown, as well as the previous year, headlining in Lawrence.
