Lawrence, Kansas, is a city in Douglas County, situated in the northeastern part of the state. As the sixth-largest city in Kansas with a 2020 population of 94,943, it is widely recognized as a “college town” due to hosting the University of Kansas and Haskell Indian Nations University.
