Morrissey

Morrissey is an English singer and songwriter. He came to prominence as the frontman and lyricist of the rock band the Smiths, who were active from 1982 to 1987. Since then he has pursued a successful solo career. Morrissey’s music is characterised by his baritone voice and distinctive lyrics with anti-establishment stances and recurring themes of emotional isolation, sexual longing, self-deprecation, and dark humour.

Johnny Marr & the Healers at First Ave, Minneapolis (05/07/2003)

The poster and ticket stub tells me that the show was booked by the Developing Arts & Music Foundation and listed as a 21+ show. I do have poor memory of the event, I remember that I touched Johnny Marr's arms and guitar (so I was front, as usual).

W♥M166: Winter Shows

Brody came on W♥M Radio to talk list some Winter shows. Incidentally, I don't go to shows in the Winter, so I'm not attending most of these shows (I don't even have their tour itinerary): The Maccabees, The Cribs, Kasabian, Phoenix (France), Palma Violets, Kooks, Peace, Xx, Kaiser Chiefs (lost a guitarist). The only show I'm attending is The Faint, which is happening tomorrow at First Avenue (December 13th).

Smith, Smith, Smith, Smiths

I'll admit that I was a massive Morrissey/the Smiths fan. I have all of his singles and albums pre-2010. A few years ago, Morrissey basically went crazy and declared war on Morrissey-solo and forbade the website owner from seeing him at live shows. I'm on David T's side on this one. Morrissey just doesn't understand how the internet works.
