BALLET SCHOOL

The Dew Lasts An Hour is the upcoming debut album from Berlin's Ballet School. The record is coming out September 9th on Bella Union. The label was originally formed by the Cocteau Twins in 1997 and have signed everyone from Fleet Foxes to Beach House to Father John Misty, etc.

On paper, Ballet School are described as dreampop with elements of 80s pop music.

The trio also recently released their new music video for "Lux", taken from The Dew Lasts An Hour. Watch it on YouTube.

NIGHT SCHOOL

San Francisco-area, trio Night School recently announced their debut Heart Beat EP, you can stream the first single "Birthday" now on Soundcloud, where it premiered on Noisey.

Night School is an all-girl band, described as "sad love songs of 1960's girl groups like The Shirelles, The Crystals, and The Shangri-las." Not to be confused with Ohio/New York's Night School band of the same name (they are on hiatus since 2011).

Gothenburg five-piece School just debut their new music video for their single SoLong via Luxury. Watch the video on YouTube.

The band is described as jangling dream-pop and sounding like The Smiths and Beach Fossils.

The SoLong single is coming out September 1st, 2014, look for it on iTunes.

Trivia: "SoLong" was the very first song written by School. Singer Alice Botéus wrote the lyrics on the back of a receipt on her way home from IKEA.
