Rocktober in Minneapolis officially starts October 1st, and what a doozy! There are so many shows in October, that I’m breaking the weekly guide into daily guides!

UK’s Lily Allen is touring the US in support of her latest album Sheezus (Regal, Parlophone). Her semi-recent tour (August) with Miley Cyrus featured an accidental nip slip, which Allen actually just laughed it off. Haha, let’s hope she wears that outfit on this upcoming tour…

Opening up for Allen will be New York trio Lolawolf, featuring singer Zoë Kravitz (daughter of Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet) and Jimmy Giannopoulos and James Levy (both from the NY band Reputante). Lolawolf is currently signed to Cult Records, the label own and operated by
Julian Casablancas (Strokes).

New York duo Phantogram (Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel) is heading back to Minnesota, playing Myth, this October 1st.

Opening up for this First Avenue present show is Lia Ices, who is out touring in support of her third studio album Ices, out now worldwide via Jagjaguar.
The new album was co-produced by Benny Sagittarius (the newly formed production team of Lia and her brother Eliot) and Clams Casino.

Denmark native ‘s second headlining tour in support of her debut album No Mythologies To Follow recently just launched… She will be stopping by Minneapolis on October 1st at the Varsity Theater.

As you recall, she was #1 on Brody’s Top List for SXSW 2014.

Last month, Mutual Benefit (aka Jordan Lee) went back and remastered his Cowboy’s Prayer EP, as an etched one-sided 12″ on Other Music Records. In celebration of the new EP, he’s been out on tour since September 3rd… the tour continues until the end of October, ending in New York.

Opening up for the 7th Street Entry show, in Minneapolis, will be Ricky Eat Acid, an ambient project from Maryland’s Sam Ray, and Har-Di-Har, a local dreampop/pysch/folk duo.
