Norwegian singer Jenny Hval will be back in town at the 7th Street Entry on September 1st, in support of her new album Apocalypse, girl.
We previously saw Hval at the Turf Club in April 2014, and mentioned that despite the snow in Minnesota in April, Hval was not impressed: “We have snow where we’re from… I’m very disappointed.” Fingers crossed that there won’t be snow on September 1st.

I actually sneaked into Andrew W.K.‘s I Get Wet show at First Avenue in 2012, so I can attest that he is truly a party animal.
Looks like Mister W.K. will be back at the Triple Rock on September 3rd for this very special “Very Special Solo Show”.
In the meantime, you can catch Andrew W.K. on his radio show “America W.K.” on TheBlaze Radio Network.
Regarding his first radio show, Andrew W.K. said, “When Glenn asked me to do my own radio show on TheBlaze, I was shocked but excited, as I knew he would allow me the unrestrained freedom to say exactly what I wanted. I’m very dedicated to exploring and learning from different people in different places, and always with an open heart. If people never went outside their own box, life would be boring. After all, why would I only want to talk with people who already think exactly like me?”

We caught The Maine earlier this year at the Varsity Theater in April we said that it was very much like a mini-Warped Tour.
This is almost unheard of, but the Phoenix band will be playing for free throughout the fall – as a special thank you to their fans who supported them in the past.
