The Jason Show at KMSP Fox 9, Eden Prairie (02 Oct 2019)

We attended a live taping of The Jason Show, starring Jason Matheson, with Kendall Mark. The show is now five years running on KMSP Fox 9 from 10-11am. Although the show is slated as an hour-long programming, being in the audience section and watching it filmed live – well it actually didn’t feel that long. Before we knew it, the show was over.
As for the show we attended, they were back in the Fox studio in Eden Prairie from the Minnesota Zoo. Unfortunately, co-hosts Kendall had a little chest cold and was conserving her voice. Jason would later mentioned that his regular producer and his regular cameraman, were all sick and pretty soon the rest of the staff will likely get what is going around.
Like Twin Cities Live, the Jason Show does offer free tickets to live taping, although seats are very limited. TCL will only allow guest audience to come in on Friday, while the Jason Show offers seats for any live shows. Since the TCL don’t normally allow public guests, they do offer donuts, bottle water, and prizes (promotional items)… but since the Jason show does not.
The nice thing about the Jason Show is that they make all their shows available on YouTube … however, possibly due to copyright strikes, they won’t put up the celebrity news/gossips or music portion of their show.
The musical guests (Lori Dokken with Patty Peterson, Joyann Parker, Katie Gearty and Anna Christy) played a cover of Jefferson Airplane “Somebody To Love” to promote their upcoming Ordway show, Lori Dokken Presents “Women On The Moon” (on October 6th).
We also got to hear a snippet of Anna Christy and Dokken covering Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong’s “Dream A Little Dream Of Me” as the show was running the closing credits.
