10/24 Bullet For My Valentine with of Mice and Men and Vended at Fillmore Bullet For My Valentine Setlist
|
Originally known as Jeff Killed John, they started by covering Nirvana and Metallica songs. When they decided to change and focus on original songs, they re-named themselves as Bullet for My Valentine (or BFMV for short). In 2002, they signed a five album deal with Sony BMG, and the rest is history.

Bullet For My Valentine (17 Feb 2016)

We last saw the band in Feb 2016 and wrote, “Bullet For My Valentine walked out on stage to Motorhead’s “Ace of Spades” and completely captivated the audience throughout their twelve song set and two song encore. As I said, they did a great job of mixing old and new songs. They even threw in a seven-minute drum solo featuring guest drummer Jason Bowld. Michael ‘Moose’ Thomas, their usual drummer, decided to sit this tour out due to his wife expecting their first child. Usually this would be a complete downer, but Jason did a great job of filling the throne. He didn’t miss a beat and did Moose justice. I honestly wouldn’t have been able to tell it was a new drummer had it not been for it being pointed out by singer Matthew Tuck.”
BFMV came back to Minnesota in September 15, 2018, at the Myth, and due to the pandemic lockdown, that was the last time they were in town.
So, it’s been a good five years, and the band is eager to be back here, as they came out head banging. They showed and thanked their appreciation to the fans for over the past decade.
Before “Your Betrayal”, lead singer Matthew Tuck pointed out the crowd in the center and thanked them for moshing and the energy.
Costa Mesa’s Of Mice & Men (named after the John Steinbeck novel) and Vended opened the show. The cool thing about Vended is that they’re fronted by Griffin Taylor, the 20-year-old son of Slipknot singer Corey Taylor.
