It’s that time of the year again, Charlie Parr is kicking off his January 2026 Residency, every Sunday, at the Turf Club, in St Paul, starting on January 4, 2026.

Charlie Parr Trio at Turf Club (April 18, 2025)
We saw Charlie Parr Trio in April 2025 and wrote, “The Charlie Parr Trio kicked things off for the evening. Parr is, quite simply, a prolific artist. He has nearly 20 full length albums and an unbelievable number of other released material. He is a machine when it comes to shows, including a January residency at Turf Club for the last several years. He plays a blues country/blues rock style both solo and in bands like this concert’s trio. Although no one was making a big deal of it, the bassist for the trio was none other than Greg Norton, of Hüsker Dü fame. (Bob Mould also happens to be in town, playing at The Palace on the 19th.)”
Eli Winter to open.

It’s that time of the year again, The Cactus Blossoms will be kicking off their 2026 Residency at the Turf Club every Monday, starting January 5, 2026.

The Cactus Blossoms at Grand Old Day (June 1, 2025)
We last saw The Cactus Blossoms in June 2025 and wrote, “The Grand Stage grounds were completely full by the time The Cactus Blossoms took the stage. And even though the swell of humanity made the venue feel like an outdoor sauna, not one bead of sweat could be found on this cooler than cool retro folk-rock duo of Jack Torrey and Page Burkum.”
Pop Wagner to open.

12 Rods (Ryan Olcott) will be doing a solo show at the 7th Street Entry on January 7, 2026.

12 Rods at First Ave (July 14, 2023)
We saw 12 Rods in July 2023 and said, “Olcott seemed really pleased how their new record If We Stayed Alive turned out, despite all the odds working against them. Some songs, such as “Private Spies” were written over 20 years ago, but finally put into recording. The first half of their setlist were songs from If We Stayed Alive Set, showing us that all these songs can be played live, and meant to be enjoyed live. The second part of their set were all older songs, all their “hits”, playing songs fans haven’t heard live in 20 years.”
Droid Bishop and North Innsbruck to open.
North Innsbruck writes:
