Torn by Cobrah (Mar 6, 2026)
Cobrah
Experimental Swedish pop provocateur Cobrah recently released her debut album Torn (Atlantic Records).
The artist explains
With Torn, I am way more ‘me’ as a person, the songs pull from my real life. It’s a little bit scary. I love doing characters. I love making things up and being extreme – and I’m still doing that on this album – but I’m also peeling it all off and presenting my real self as a character.

To get us excited about Torn, Cobrah shared her new single “Dog,” featuring Cobrah stepping into a mud bath alongside two large Doberman dogs in the music video (which is probably not safe for work based on the still image). The video will premier March 6 at 1pm.

The Pain, My Friend by Cat Clyde (Mar 6, 2026)
Cat Clyde
Canadian indie-folk artist Cat Clyde is back with the new album Mud Blood Bone (due out March 13 via Concord Records). You can preview the album with the album’s second single, “Man’s World”.
Clyde said:
This is an expression of the frustration I feel existing as a woman in a patriarchal world. It sometimes feels difficult to be on a 24 hour clock rather than a 28 day cycle, and a 12 month year instead of a 13 month year. I love and crave masculine energy when it’s strong, protective, and emotionally aware. It has been difficult and deeply disappointing to have had experiences dealing with masculine energy that is childish, cowardly, and encroaching on the feminine space. ‘Man’s World’ touches on my own ideas of what being a woman means in this society and how dangerous and violent it can be for a woman’s heart.

The Pain, My Friend by Jillette Johnson (Mar 6, 2026)
Jillette Johnson
New York’s Jillette Johnson just released her new EP The Pain, My Friend, with an official video for “Good At Lying” featuring Langhorne Slim.
To support the new release, she’ll be supporting Fantastic Cat on a tour that will start on April 11 at Woodstock and ending on April 25 in Chicago.
We saw Jillette Johnson live in November 2014 and previously wrote, “Singer/songwriter Jillette Johnson has become Wal-Mart’s unlikely spokeswoman, having reference the store chain several times in her set. If you didn’t know, Wal-Mart welcomes RVs and truckers to use their parking lot to sleep overnight, so Johnson and her musical partner, Matt Pynn are experiencing life at different Wal-Marts across the country on this tour. It would seem that her favorite Wal-Mart night is spending it on Halloween and waking up with fried chicken on the floor… then to step into a Wal-Mart the day after and seeing random costumed people with her own clothing rivaling their costumes (hint: she’s not in a costume). Jillette Johnson seemingly wouldn’t trade this glamorous life for anything, because she is loving her time with Mary Lambert on this tour.”
Tour Dates supporting Fantastic Cat:
  • 4/11 – Woodstock, NY – Levon Helms Barn
  • 4/14 – Boston, MA – Middle East
  • 4/15 – Fairfield, CT – Stage One
  • 4/16 – Philadelphia, PA – Ardmore Music Hall
  • 4/17 – Washington, DC – The Hamilton
  • 4/18 – Baltimore, MD – The 8×10
  • 4/19 – Charlottesville, VA – The Southern
  • 4/21 – Charlotte, NC – The Evening Muse
  • 4/22 – Atlanta, GA – Vinyl
  • 4/23 – Nashville, TN – Row One
  • 4/24 – Indianapolis, IN – HiFi
  • 4/25 – Chicago, IL – Garcia’s

Reality Star by Surfbort (Mar 4, 2026)
Surfbort
Brooklyn’s punk band Surfbort (featuring vocalist Dani Miller) recently shared their new single “Hot Dog”, taken from their upcoming Reality Star (out today March 6 on TODO Records).
Surfbort explains the term ‘Hot Dog’:
Hot Dog is our reminder to take a breath, chill out, and learn how to enjoy life again. Inspired by the playful energy of the B-52’s, we wanted to create something fun, colorful, and gloriously unserious. A sort of rebellion against the tense, overanalyzed world we’re all living in. Sometimes life should just be about eating hotdogs, sports, or whatever ridiculous thing makes you grin until it hurts. It’s that ‘living like it’s your birthday’ energy.

Trivia: Surfbort was formed in 2014 by lead singer Dani Miller. The group got their name from the Beyoncé song “Drunk in Love.”

What is a “Trash Birds”? Vidic said:
Falling in love is terrifying. It can freeze you in place, leaving you unable to do anything but stare out the window – maybe notice the birds in the trash. Heaven forbid you deal with your feelings.

Burn Down by Kat Meoz (Mar 4, 2026)
Kat Meoz
Las Vegas-based alternative rock artist Kat Meoz released her latest single “Burn Down,” a song described as an “emotionally charged pop/alt-rock hybrid”.
Meoz said that she’s inspired by such rock icons like Alanis Morissette, Nirvana, Etta James, Robert Plant, Radiohead, and Scott Weiland… quite a range.
The new single comes about two months after “Show Me What You Got,” a different genre of gritty blues and high-octane rock.

Meoz explains:
With ‘Show Me What You Got,’ we wanted to deliver a blues-driven rock guitar punch. It’s about that crazy night out and the competitive, adrenaline-laden energy that’s loud, fun, and impossible to ignore.

Dog Eat Dog by Mollie Elizabeth (Mar 6, 2026)
Mollie Elizabeth
Washington State-based artist Mollie Elizabeth will be releasing “Dog Eat Dog” this Friday, March 6, 2026. The song is co-written by Mollie and Lucas Sim, who also helmed the production.
Elizabeth explains the song title, ““Dog Eat Dog” is centered around the concept that all humans are, unfortunately, natural born predators. In my nature, and I think in many others, all I really want to do is cultivate peace and love. but in reality, this world is not peaceful. there are people who will take advantage of you if you do not accept that whether you like it or not, we live in a dog eat dog world.”
Sample lyrics:
Welcome to the world, pretty baby girl
Unprotected, disconnected, unaware of her direction
Born to be a child to play and be beguiled
Delusion, deception, she’ll have to learn the lesson

Fox is a fox, no matter love
It’s only luck and you are haunted
Don’t try to be what you’re not, you’re born to be a lost cause
Good Lord, guess that’s the law, too bad, too far gone
Don’t try to be what you’re not, already born with claws
Good Lord, guess that’s the law, too bad, too far gone
It’s dog eat dog
