No Kings in downtown St. Paul (March 28, 2026)
The flagship event for No Kings 3 was in Saint Paul and wow, did the people show up. Some great local music kicked things off and well over 100,000 people marched and attended the event.
The Clams were an all-female rock band formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1985 by drummer Cindy Lawson. Known for a straight-ahead rock sound with garage punk influences, the group was a staple in the Twin Cities scene, playing venues like the Uptown Bar and 7th Street Entry before disbanding in 1989

A tribute to The Replacements, led by The Melismatics had seemingly every rock singer in the Twin Cities appear at the Turf Club. It was a smashing success and a sold out crowd had a blast.

After a stretch of national touring acts, it was great to get back to some local and regional bands. A full stack of rock at Zhora Darling was mostly local groups with the headliner Daisychain looking to wow the local crowd.

An evening of local music was on the slate at Cloudland Theater with Cindy Lawson as the headliner. Entering Cloudland, you will get greeted by Anslem, just about the friendliest door man in all of the Twin Cities. He’s been at it since they opened and does nearly every show. And Cloudland really is a tremendously friendly and inviting venue, giving local artists a real space to perform.

The longtime Bellingham, Washington band The Posies have again returned to action, with a new album in tow (Solid States on My Music Empire/Lojinx) and a unique series of special personal and intimate pop-up shows, usually to crowds of less than one hundred, with the secret location details, not announced until just before the show.
