Ben Kweller
with cheese touch
at Fine Line

first-avenue.com

Ben Kweller is returning to the Fine Line on April 28, 2025. The last time he was here, the show was sold out – so buy your tickets early.

There is a strict 6 ticket limit. Any attempt to exceed the ticket limit of 6 per customer or household, or to game the system in any way, will result in cancellation of orders without notice. There is a transfer delay for all tickets up to ONE WEEK prior to show.

We saw Kweller in Nov 2023 and said, “If you were curious about the one cover song, “How I Am”, this was a tribute to his 16 year old son, Dorian Kweller (who plays as his stagename Z’ev). His son died in a car accident in February 2023, and it was a shame, because, like Ben, Dorian was also a child prodigy, and over time, he would’ve been just as accomplished as his father.”

Kweller’s latest Cover The Mirrors is out now, it’s his first new music since the sudden passing of his 16-year-old son Dorian Zev in 2023 to a car accident.

L.S. Dunes
with From Indian Lakes and Plague Vendor
at Amsterdam Bar & Hall

first-avenue.com

Rock band L.S. Dunes is touring in support of their sophomore album Violet (Fantasy Records). The tour stops in at the Amsterdam Bar & Hall, in St Paul, on April 28, 2025.

From Indian Lakes and Plague Vendor to open.

We saw Plague Vendor in June 2016 and wrote, “West Hollywood’s Plague Vendor (singer Brandon Blaine, drummer Luke Perine, bassist Michael Perez, and guitarist Jay Rogers) was probably the loudest and hardcore band on the Rock the Garden bill. The explosive punk band made the most of their 30-min set, playing some tracks from their sophomore album Bloodsweat (Epitaph Records), including intro song ‘Anchor to Ankles’ (medley with ‘747’), followed by ‘ISUA’. Taking advantage of large crowd, singer Brandon Blaine body surfed near the end of their set, which made it look like this wasn’t their first rodeo. Ripping off his shirt at the end of ‘Jezebel’, Blaine asked if they can squeeze in another song. “Four Minutes? Can we make this?”… suddenly the chords to ‘Chopper’ started to play and the band finished their set on time.”

AWOLNATION
with Bryce Fox
at First Avenue

first-avenue.com

AWOLNATION, the genre-defying alt-rock project led by Aaron Bruno, will be headlining First Avenue, in Minneapolis, on April 28, 2025.

We saw AWOLNATION in July 2017 and said, “AWOLNATION provided the most amount of rock, on an otherwise mostly folk and alternative-filled weekend, and did so with perhaps the loudest volume of any act over the two days. Appropriately on Red Bull Records, songs from their 2015 breakthrough album RUN, still get considerable regular airplay locally, with a new album due soon. Singer/guitarist Aaron Bruno first surveyed the crowd slowly and intently with his steely eyes, but that would gradually build to all get worked out performing, during their ninety-minute set. Younger fans went berserk during songs like ‘Not Your Fault’ and ‘Kill Your Heroes’, and finale, ‘Sail’ and the band even worked in their slightly robotic cover of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘I’m on Fire’, to start their encore on a haunting note.”

Bryce Fox to open.
