Isabelle Geffroy is better known by her nickname, Zaz. Her self-titled debut album, released in France in May 2010, was a big hit for her, especially for her single "Je Veux" (I Want). Having just listened to the album, I can see why the French, Belgium, Switzerland, and Germany audiences all fell in love with her, her voice is not the typical sexy French candy-coated pop singers. It sounds classic, like French 1930s-era.
From Bruxelles, Belgium, comes Les Vedettes! I can't speak French for the life of me, but from what I can tell, it looks like they've been co-touring with Katerine (see video for their participations in their concert). Incidentally if you watch the video, the half way song called "Louxor J'adore" by Katerine from his Robots Après Tout album.
Lisa sent me this Francoise Hardy mix cd a while back, which I was listening in my car for a while. Anyroad, I was driving with a passenger and she put on the Hardy CD and kind of listened and skip and skip (which is kind of understandable since the majority of Hardy's works are in French and neither of us understood it).
