The dead walk again –
On a seasonably pleasant Thursday evening, hundreds of zombies and other costumed characters participated in the 16th Annual Lawrence Zombie Walk, in downtown Lawrence, gathering first at South Park, then walking down the town’s main street, Massachusetts, beginning at sundown.
Donations & proceeds were to benefit the Lawrence Humane Society as people were encouraged to bring dog food, cat food, peanut butter and dog treats for donation barrels.
The free and all-ages event also included make-up and blood bath stations, local vendors, professional photos, and a costume contest with prizes.
This year’s local sponsors were 1313 Mockingbird Lane, Explore Lawrence, Downtown Lawrence, Prime Martial Arts, Wildman Web Solutions, Lawrence Humane Society, and The Granada Theater and crowds gathered on the sidewalks as the shuffling mob made their way through.
