Maisie Peters is an English singer-songwriter. She began her professional career independently, releasing two singles, “Place We Were Made” and “Birthday”. In 2018, she signed with Atlantic Records, releasing two EPs and the second series soundtrack to the British comedy series, Trying.

Maisie Peters released single “Kingmaker”, featuring six-time Grammy nominee Julia Michaels. The single is taken from her forthcoming third studio album Florescence, due out May 15, 2026.

Maisie based the song loosely on Hilary Mantel’s historical novel Wolf Hall:

Kingmaker is a song about power dynamics, chiefly about being a woman and feeling like you’ve offered your time, wisdom, talent, and belief to someone who has then taken advantage of it. It’s about the sting of uplifting someone, only to find out they didn’t deserve you in the first place; about giving a man the benefit of the doubt and having it thrown in your face.

I loved writing this song with Julia, as I think we have both had the experience of achieving success and witnessing the impact that has on the romantic relationships in our lives – on the egos of the men who say they want a strong woman, until it “makes them bitter.” We recorded this song very intentionally as a duet, going line for line instead of verse for verse, so it could really be heard as a conversation between two friends sympathising with each other, which really is exactly what the writing process was like.

We saw Maisie Peters in Mar 2022 and wrote, “Maisie Peters started her music career on YouTube. She signed to Atlantic Records and released two EPs, Dressed Too Nice for a Jacket and It’s Your Bed Babe, It’s Your Funeral… and Ed Sheeran heard her music and signed her on his label, Gingerbread Man Records, for her debut album You Signed Up for This. As you can see from the setlist, she basically played every song that she’s ever written… and everyone on the dance floor knew all the songs and would help sing along. Popular songs on the setlist includes recent single, “Psycho”, and “Outdoor Pool”. She dedicated “Boy” to a girl named Kate, who recently broke up with her boyfriend (“he sucks!”) when he was shipped off in the military.”

Actress/pop songstress Suki Waterhouse will be releasing Loveland on July 10th via Island Records.

Suki shares her thoughts on the record:

Loveland to me lives in the distance between a former self who felt most alive in romance, fantasy and momentum, and a present self reaching for something steadier, more intimate and more true. That split is deepened by motherhood, and by the strange feeling of becoming someone new while still carrying the shape of who you were before.

We were supposed to see her headline in Jan 2022, but unfortunately that show was rescheduled at the last minute. So, we are hoping there will be a massive 2026 headline tour in support of Loveland.
