Lucky Again (The Magician Remix) by Lykke Li (June 26, 2026)
Swedish singer/songwriter Lykke Li has a new Remix of “Lucky Again”, courtesy of The Magician. The single comes out Friday (June 26).
Li also recently shared a remix of “Sick of Love” from acclaimed producer, songwriter, and Grammy Award-winning artist Mura Masa… so I suspect a new/upcoming remix EP or album will be released soon. Her most recent album, The Afterparty came out on May 8, 2026, via Neon Gold Records.
Lykke Li at First Avenue, Minneapolis (28 Sep 2014)
We saw Li in Sep 2014 and wrote, “The black drapes and cloud of fog and near-darkness lighting created this moody atmosphere. Obviously, Lykke Li is a creature of the stage wanted to create this mysterious theater of dance, body language, costumes, and, of course, music. Majority of the set included a lot of new songs from I Never Learn (including the title track, “Just Like A Dream”, “No Rest For The Wicked”, “Sleeping Alone”, “Gunshot”, “Never Gonna Love Again”, and encore “Heart Of Steel”). The older tracks from her debut Youth Novel got the biggest response from the audience… Especially hearing the first few bars of “Little Bit” got the crowd roaring with cheer. Familiar songs like “Dance, Dance, Dance” were reworked live, like the song had evolved over time. My favorite was the Bruce Springsteen cover “I’m On Fire”, even though the music didn’t queue up as soon as Lykke Li announced, “I don’t know about you, but I’m on fire…” Her version is, of course, a little slower and with a hint of sadness.”

Walking On The Sun by Chloe Star (June 26, 2026)
Breakout alt-pop talent Chloe Star is set to release the new single “Walking On The Sun” on Friday, June 26, 2026.
Star previously appeared in Rolling Stone, CLASH Magazine, and played at London Pride and New York Pride Festival. If you’re a fan of Julia Wolf (who we saw in June 2025 and April 2022), Star comes highly recommended.
Note, I had originally wanted to include Star in April’s Girls Girls Girls, but due to deadline, it ended up on the cutting floor. I did look at my draft, and it was talking about the music video for “Call You Back” and it also included the tour dates (which is listed below).

Brand New by Blank Instrument (June 26, 2026)
Boorloo/Perth artist Blank Instrument (aka singer-songwriter Kim Franklin) will release her brand new single “Brand New” on Friday, June 26… head of her debut album Jumping at Ghosts – set for release later this year.
The story goes is the album as made possible from Franklin’s friendship to her late friend Julie. She left her some money to help “pursue her dreams”, and that gift funded the recording of the debut album.
