BRANDON LAKE at Grand Casino Arena, St. Paul, MN (2026-04-26)

Winding up his highly successful King of Hearts Tour, Myrtle Beach, SC native and faith-based Christian singer-songwriter and guitarist Brandon Lake just sold out the Xcel Energy… Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul. Our resident fan-in-the-stands got his own praise and worship on, to send us a brief show report.

Lake probably isn’t well-known in secular circles, but that’s quite the opposite on the contemporary Christian side, as the now Charleston, SC-based Lake writes songs at the local Seacoast Church and is a former member of popular groups Bethel Music and Maverick City Music.

Lake is also part of Sons of Sunday, a bit of a worship music supergroup, consisting of himself along with musicians Steven Furtick, Chandler Moore, Chris Brown, Leeland Mooring, and Pat Barrett (so it made sense that Barrett was also on the evening’s bill and he and Lake joined each other on stage with Lake also singing several Barrett-penned songs).

Lake has also collaborated and toured with Elevation Worship, a contemporary worship music collective from Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC and played several of their songs, as part of his show, including their big 2020 hit, “Graves into Gardens.”

King of Hearts is Lake’s fifth studio album, out last June via Provident Label Group and Sony Music Entertainment and features two No. 1 singles, “That’s Who I Praise” and “Hard Fought Hallelujah”. The album features guest appearances from Jelly Roll, CeCe Winans, Hank Bentley and Hulvey. The album debuted on the Billboard 200 album chart at number 7, making it Lake’s first Top 10 entry on the chart.

Franni Cash & the aforementioned Pat Barrett provided support, with Barrett also known as a former member of contemporary worship bands Unhindered and Housefires.
