This is pretty cool, if you’ve got nothing on this weekend, check out Jacksonville Porchfest, taking place this Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Southwest Quadrant of Historic Springfield. This is within a three-block of Silver Street to Boulevard and 3rd Street to 8th Street. You’ll be walking around a lot, visiting various porches, so put on your walking shoes.
Walking is encouraged, but there is a shuttle service, if you decide to park nearby the Bethel Church, Florida Department of Health, FSCJ Downtown Campus, or UF Health Parking Lot J. I looked at the map, you can just walk to the event from these parking locations without any issues.
To be perfectly honest, I’ve never heard of any of these 24 bands. I am assuming they’re all local Jacksonville musicians. Judging from porch (resident homes) setups, space may be really limited, especially if there is already a large crowd gathering.
I will try and get photos of all the performers, including the headliner The Rumble, featuring Chief Joseph Boudreaux Jr., so I may be running around trying to make it to all the different porches.

Orlando’s Makari (derived from the Gaelic word ‘makar’) will be headlining The Albatross (formerly Underbelly) on Saturday, November 14, 2026.
We previously saw Makari in November 2025 and wrote: “Makari took the stage and got right out of the gate with “Transient.” They are from Orlando, FL and are a solid rock band with Andy Cizek on vocals, Matt Beljan and Eric Stewart on guitar, John Tomasso on bass and Kevin Beljan on drums. Their name means “poet” or “bard” in Gaelic and they are supporting their latest album Wave Machine. I wasn’t the only one having trouble getting to the venue. Andy said that they barely reached the venue on time for their trailer hitch broke in the middle of a blizzard. But they didn’t show any weariness and kept things rocking with all their equipment intact. They even played a new song “Disappearing Act” before the ballad like “And Now We Sleep in Endless Ocean.” They then finished with a fan favorite “Eternity Leave” which had many in the audience singing along.”
Kurt Travis (we last mentioned in May 2019), Detroit-based Mella (previously opened for Hail The Sun), and Resilia (who we last mentioned in May 2026), to open.

Toy Drive Music Event
at Trap House Chicken (Normandy)
What a weird venue, a chicken restaurant by day, and by night is a music venue. I only know about this because Jax Punx is booking a show on December 5, 2026… which I am tentatively attending, but I have no idea what bands are playing. Usually with these things, it’s very last-minute.
I wanted to check out the venue, but everything is announced the day-of, so by the time I find out there was a show, it’s already too late.
Anyway, so the next opportunity to check out the venue is this Saturday, November 14, for a Toy Drive Music Event. I’m 50/50 if I am going to show up for this one, as there is another show taking place on this night. Maybe I should just stop one day by for lunch and scope out the place.
Lineup
- Write in In Iron and Blood
- Radio Poets
- Tampered
- Slow Comply
- Canvas
- FNX
We were supposed to cover Seoul’s seven-piece band Leenalchi at the Cedar Cultural Center, in Minneapolis, on Saturday, November 7, 2026… but at the last minute, the band was forced to cancel their appearance.
The band did not specify the reason(s) why the sudden cancellation, but seeing as they are a large cast, from the very young to the very old… many fans think it’s health issues. Me? I always think it’s a work Visa problem (all the international touring cancellation are due to visas). Under this current administration, you know ICE is ready to murder first and ask questions later.

We regret to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, LEENALCHI’s upcoming U.S. and European tour will no longer take place as scheduled.
We sincerely apologize to all the fans who have been looking forward to the tour for this sudden news, and we kindly ask for your understanding.
Thank you.
LEENALCHI
If your band is coming to the Minneapolis/St Paul or Jacksonville, Florida, area, please email details to vu@weheartmusic.com with a good lead time. Thank you.
