Black Friday
With Black Friday this week, it seems less and less “biggest shopping day” of the year, ever since the pandemic reset the celebration. Since then it’s become more like a Black Friday week, then Black Friday month, etc. Most of the deals have already been announced, what people are discovering “Early Black Friday” events. Look, I’m a victim myself, having been enjoying (and going broke) partaking in the various sales.
One of the best deals in Weekend Gamer news is that the PS5 Slim is being sold for $100 off. This is a great deal, considering that Xbox raised their price twice this year (and rumor has it going to raise their prices a third time). However, before you bite, consider this: you’ll be locked into the PlayStation ecosystem. You’ll have to buy PS games only… unlike Xbox with their “Play Anywhere” games, which allows you to play on the PC using the Xbox app. You can always buy a PC or wait for the Steam Machine and hope that it’s decently priced.
Other deals:
- The Last of Us Part II Remastered – PlayStation 5 ($30)
- Evercade VS-R Retro Gaming Console with – Includes 1 controller and Tomb Raider 1, 2, and 3 ($105)
- Seagate Expansion 8TB External Hard Drive HDD – USB 3.0, with Rescue Data Recovery Services (STKP8000400) ($150)
- INSIGNIA 32″ Class F20 Series LED HD Smart Fire TV, Voice Remote with Alexa, Free & Live TV ($70)
- Sony Alpha 7 IV Full-frame Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera with 28-70mm Zoom Lens Kit ($2,200)
- DC Finest: Events: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part One ($27)
If your band is coming to the Minneapolis/St Paul area, please email details to vu@weheartmusic.com with a good lead time. Thank you.
