We previously mentioned that the murders of Renée Good and Alex Pretti had united people from across the globe to stand up against the brutality of Donald Trump’s I.C.E. There are so many anti-ICE songs that there is a whole Wikipedia Page.
Musicians Against ICE:

Bruce Springsteen
The Boss, Bruce Springsteen was so angry at the killings of Good and Pretti that he wrote and produce, “Streets of Minneapolis” on January 29, 2026… and then hopped on an airplane and landed in Minnesota to rock with the free people of Minneapolis on the next day with his friend Tom Morello on the Defend Minnesota show.
Here’s how we described Bruce’s appearance, “The set was almost over and Morello invited Reilly, Di Meola, and Tim McIlrath join for a great version of Woody Guthrie’s This Land Is Your Land, one of the great early protest songs and if you haven’t checked it in a while, those latter verses are inflammatory to the status quo. It was outstanding and everyone left the stage but Morello who gave one more speech before introducing Bruce Springsteen, who came out to sing his brand new song Streets of Minneapolis. While in Bruce’s words, “it may be a little soapboxy”, his performance of it was gritty and real and the crowd was rightfully blown away. Getting a quartet, an electric version of The Ghost of Tom Joad was a perfect number for what is going on and with Springsteen and Morello trading verses and sizzling guitar solos was insanely fun to witness.”
Now the “Born in the USA” musician re-assembling his famous The E Street Band to head out on his Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour.
Tom Morello (of Rage Against the Machine) believes in fighting for the American people, that he had to cancel his Spring tour to join Springsteen for a select number of dates – starting with, where else? Minneapolis, at the Target Center, on March 31st, 2026.
In a video announcing the tour, Bruce said:
Brothers and sisters, fans, friends and good folks from coast to coast.

We are living through dark, disturbing, and dangerous times, but do not despair, the cavalry is coming. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band will be taking the stage this Spring. From Minneapolis to California to Texas to Washington DC for the land of Hope and Dreams American tour.

We will be rocking your town in celebration and in defense of America, American democracy, American freedom, our American constitution, and our sacred American dream, all of which is under attack by our wannabe King and his rogue government in Washington DC.

Everyone, regardless of where you stand and what you believe in is welcomed. So come on out and join the united free republic of E Street nation for an American Spring of rock and rebellion.

I’ll see you there.

We Might Die
Rising Las Vegas punk trio We Might Die (bass/vocalist Liv, guitarist/vocals Travis, and drummer Chance) will be releasing “ICE OUT” this Friday, February 27, 2026.
I did get a chance to preview the explosive punk song and can tell you that it’s written from the perspective of an ICE agent, just “doing his job” … a clever twist, in the same vein as Jesse Welle’s “Join ICE” song (an anti-ICE song disguised as a recruitment song).
Official lyrics:
Proud to be an American citizen
Not like those f***ing aliens
Crossed the border without permission
By God’s will, I’ll exterminate them
I’ll take your life cause mine matters more
Because I’m white, I’ve got the right
Who cares if it’s illegal?
This land is mine, and I’ve got the rights
Iced Out!

Gotta, Gotta, Gotta get away
Enemy, Enemy, Enemy of the State
Gotta, Gotta, Gotta get away
Enemy, Enemy, Enemy of the State
Gotta, Gotta, Gotta get away
Enemy, Enemy, Enemy of the State
Gotta, Gotta, Gotta get away
Enemy, Enemy, Enemy of the State!

I’m just doing my job
I’m just doing my job
I’m just doing my job!
I’m just doing my job!

I’ve got a gun; you all need to run
I own the right to start the fights
Reality is what I make it
I’ll never forgive and always forget
Murderers, rapists, they’re all dangerous
But I’m innocent, she asked for it
You’ll fear me, the secret police
Iced Out!

Gotta, Gotta, Gotta get away
Enemy, Enemy, Enemy of the State
Gotta, Gotta, Gotta get away
Enemy, Enemy, Enemy of the State
Gotta, Gotta, Gotta get away
Enemy, Enemy, Enemy of the State
Gotta, Gotta, Gotta get away
Enemy, Enemy, Enemy of the State!

I was just doing my job

Brandi Carlile at Target Center (Feb 21, 2026)
Brandi Carlile
Brandi Carlile raised over half a million dollars at the last week’s concert in Minneapolis. The “Be Human: A Concert for Minneapolis” from the Target Center on February 21, 2026, was played live to over 12,000 people (plus live streams for those who cannot physically attend). Money raised will be donated to the Minnesota-based Advocates for Human Rights organization.
The show was in response to Donald Trump’s “Operation Metro Surge”, which brought in over 3,000 federal agents to Minneapolis and St Paul – resulting inn the killing of two residents, Renee Good and Alex Pretti. While Minneapolis killings brought a spotlight to the injustice, across the country, at least eight people have died due to the violent immigration crackdowns.
Baby, when you wake up, and it wasn’t a dream
And you’re tired of crying, you’re too broken to scream
Shake your fist at the city, let it rip at the seams
Be human

You’re gonna hammer the street with your hands and your feet
Let the bitterness die, fall in time to the beat
When you look in the eyes of the strangers you meet
Be human

Melt ICE (February 12, 2026 )
Melt ICE
Over 100 Minnesota musicians have participated in the recent Melt ICE, a Mutual Aid Compilation album.
You can get the album via Bandcamp for $10 (or donate more). Additional details below:
“Melt ICE” is a Mutual Aid Compilation album featuring 100+ Minnesota musicians against the occupation of federal agents terrorizing our communities and ripping families apart. We strongly condemn the actions of ICE and Border Patrol agents in our home state.

The project has been uploaded to Bandcamp in order to maximize profits, which will be donated to MNTogether, an initiative that supports Minnesotans impacted by Operation Metro Surge. The MNTogether mutual aid fund is organized by the Lyndale Congregational United Church of Christ in partnership with MARCH, a collective of multifaith leaders working to direct funds to community members in need of food, rent assistance, and hygiene items.

Operation Metro Surge, “the largest immigration enforcement operation ever carried out,” (DHS) began in December 2025. Its violent escalation in Minnesota is marked by the murders of innocent legal observers Renee Good and Alex Pretti, as well as the forceful detainment and mistreatment of many other community members, including U.S. Citizens, legal immigrants and peaceful observers.

We believe in the collective power of songwriters, producers and performers to use our voices as best we know how. We are excited and honored to present “Melt ICE”, a collection of music from our rich, diverse and talented music scene here in Minnesota. Please enjoy these tracks which include unreleased songs, demos and live recordings.

We hope you will support this project. We have priced the compilation album at $10, but encourage you to donate more if you are able.

We love our community. Thank you for supporting this project and our neighbors in crisis. We are proud to be Minnesotans.

Best,
Organizers Anna Devine, Ryan Kemp & Jonny Fuller
